Question
How do I capture debug logs for TOFU on the XIOS XS?

Answer

TOFU app logs:

In order to capture debug logs for the TOFU apps on the XIOS XS, first start off by capturing the XBMC
logs the normal way (http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Log_file/Easy).

1. Go to System > Settings > Add-ons
2. Select Get Add-ons
3. Bring up the context menu (done by highlighting the option and pressing c on my remote control)
on XBMC.org Add-ons and choose Force Refresh
4. Select XBMC.org Add-ons
5. Select Program Add-ons > XBMC Log Uploader > Install
6. Wait for this to download and be marked Enabled
7. Select XBMC Log Uploader > Configure
8. Add your email address
9. Go all the way back to Settings then System > Debugging and enable debug logging
10. Go all the way back to Home Screen
11. Go to Programs
12. Select XBMC Log Uploader, this will actually grab the logs, send them to xbmclogs.com and send
the configured e-mail address a link to the log.

In the case the Log uploader is down (or if you would like to do it manually):

- Current session log: /sdcard/Android/data/com.pivos.tofu/files/.tofu/temp/xbmc.log
- Last session log (the only way to get a complete log for a crash):
/sdcard/Android/data/com.pivos.tofu/files/.tofu/temp/xbmc.old.log

- You can access these files using the Android file manager of your choice (or install an SSH server to

access the XS file system remotely).
- When posting the actual log, do not post the actual log on the forums.  Instead, put it on

http://pastebin.com/ and post a link to it.

TOFU OS logs:

OS logs are dmesg and logcat (captured if the issue doesn't cause system to fully crash).

Use SysLog app.

(kernel log is dmesg and main log is logcat), app will save the logs into internal storage and then you can

copy them (/sdcard/SysLog/)

- When posting the actual log, do not post the actual log on the forums.  Instead, put it on

http://pastebin.com/and post a link to it.
